Details the various counties in Tennessee and the towns and rivers within them. Western Tennessee has no counties and is labeled as "Chickasaw Indians". The top of the map conatins statistical and geological remarks, such as the condition of soil and the plants that can grow there. There is also a table listing the populations of each county and Western Tennessee by itself.
The map was "documents by John Melish" and "constructed from the surveys of the late John Strothers and other".
